TEAM NEWS: HUDDERSFIELD V UNITED

Jose Mourinho has confirmed Marcus Rashford is available for Manchester United’s Premier League clash at Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon, after the Academy graduate limped down the tunnel following his match-winning goal against Benfica in midweek.

Rashford struck the only goal of the game at Estadio da Luz in Portugal, with an in-swinging free-kick that was carried into the net by young goalkeeper Mile Svilar.

The 19-year-old forward was later taken off for Anthony Martial on 76 minutes with what was described by the boss as a possible knee problem.

Thankfully, the manager explained at his pre-match press conference on Friday that Rashford is fine and ready for action against Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium. Jose then told reporters: “Nobody else is coming back.

We have the same players as we had for the Benfica match.”
Mourinho’s update suggests that Phil Jones is also available to play, after sitting on the bench for the UEFA Champions League win due to the slight injury that he suffered during the recent international break. Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof started in his and Eric Bailly’s absence.

Central midfielders Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini are definitely out of action due to their injuries, while long-term absentee Marcos Rojo is expected to return soon.

UPDATES ON POGBA AND IBRAHIMOVIC
Jose was also asked about the comebacks of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, saying: “Paul is not here, I don't know when he comes back. I don't know when he's available. I have no idea about it."

The boss also explained that he hopes Zlatan will play again before 2017 is out.
WHAT ABOUT HUDDERSFIELD?
David Wagner has provided this update on his squad ahead of Saturday’s match: “Steve Mounie will be back in the squad; he trained all week without any issues. Philip Billing has a serious injury; we aren’t 100 per cent sure if he needs surgery or not.

The final investigations will be on Monday.
“Collin Quaner won’t be available but he should be back for Liverpool away. Kasey Palmer will be with us over the international break in full training and, after that, he will be ready for the squad.”

On the challenge of facing United, Wagner also said: “We are against one of the biggest clubs in the world and we will create one of the best football atmospheres. We will try our best and will make this game a real challenge for Manchester United. We have to be at our very best to get a result.”
