Man Utd Agree Deal For Embalo



Manchester United have lined up a deal for Benfica prospect Umaro Embalo,according to a report from the Mirror.

The 16-year-old has been a target for the Old Trafford club for the past year after impressing against them in a tournament and staff were asked to compile a report.

They faced strong competition from Real Madrid, however, are now confident of persuading the teenage winger to move to England in the new year.Umaro Embalo (right) is a tricky, pacy winger who can play up front or on the right wing.The teenager has been compared to former Manchester United winger Angel di Maria.

Born in 2001 in Bissau, Guinea
The 16-year-old is left footed and plays as a right winger or centre forward
Has represented Portugal at Under 16 and Under 17 level
Currently plays for Benfica's Under 19s
Has scored 15 goals in 18 appearances for Portugal U17s
Embalo, born in Bissau, Guinea, has scored 15 goals in 18 games for Portugal's Under 17s and had a 26-minute cameo against United in the UEFA Youth League this season.

Though he plays predominantly on the right, the pacy winger is left footed and models himself on his idol Angel di Maria.
The teenager is still yet to feature for Benfica's senior squad having only made appearances for their Under 19s side.
Liverpool and Manchester City had also checked on Embalo but it seems United's strong alliance with Benfica has helped persuade the teenager to move to Old Trafford.

Jose: Fellaini was amazing

Jose Mourinho heaped praise on the "amazing" Marouane Fellaini for his determination and courage to play for Manchester United in Sunday's big match at Chelsea, despite not being fully fit. The midfielder had not featured for the Reds since the victory over Crystal Palace at the end of September, after picking up an injury while on international duty for Belgium. Mourinho revealed that Fellaini only returned to full training on Saturday and was named on the bench for Sunday's defeat at Chelsea. With United trailing at Stamford Bridge, the Belgian was introduced just after the hour-mark and he almost snatched a late leveller for the Reds when his shot was brilliantly saved by his international team-mate Thibaut Courtois.
